About this role

Senior Wireless Engineer — Feeder Link Modem Design, anywhere in India (Hybrid), 4–9 years experience. Role: Design and implement feeder link modems for spacecraft and ground systems — at the intersection of DSP, satellite comms, and SDR software engineering. STRICT REQUIREMENTS — candidate must have ALL of: - C++ or C/C++ hands-on coding experience - DSP / digital signal processing / signal processing — hands-on implementation (NOT testing only, NOT validation only) - SDR / software-defined radio / GNU Radio / USRP — hands-on implementation experience - Satellite / spacecraft / LEO / GEO / space communications industry experience - Must have implemented, developed, designed, built, architected, or integrated — not just tested or validated EXCLUDE: - Testing only, validation only, conformance testing, DVT, log analysis, test engineers, QA roles - Talent acquisition, recruitment, HR roles What they'll actually do: - Write production DSP/PHY/MAC code for SDR platforms (SBCs and/or FPGAs) - Simulate algorithms in MATLAB/Python, validate on hardware - Build test automation and CI/CD pipelines for modem testing - Debug in-orbit and ground anomalies - Run link budget analysis, evaluate radios and ground station products - Work cross-functionally with RF, electronics, and hardware teams Ideal person: Hands-on engineer who can own a full modem stack — algorithm design through hardware validation. Deep coder, high technical ownership, autonomous in a greenfield environment. Reporting to Head of Engineering.
