Unlike most EdTech companies, our products are built on eight years of classroom practice, curriculum development, and educational research from within the Shikha ecosystem. You'll work on real problems faced by real educators, designing experiences that support teachers before, during, and after every lesson. Your work won't sit in a design file—it will quickly reach classrooms, influence product decisions, and shape how thousands of teachers teach and students learn. As our UI/UX Designer, you’ll shape both the digital face of our EdTech products at Shikha Learning Labs and the internal platforms that power Shikha Academy. Your designs will directly impact how students learn, how teachers teach, and how schools evolve. You’ll join a small, creative team where your ideas matter, and where your work translates quickly into real-world impact. Design engaging, intuitive, and user-centered interfaces for both web and mobile platforms. Translate educator and student needs into wireframes, prototypes, and polished UI designs. Collaborate with educators, product managers, and developers to bring digital learning ideas to life. Conduct user research and usability testing to ground design decisions in real- world insights. Build and maintain a consistent design system that works across both Shikha Academy and Shikha Learning Labs. Stay ahead of industry trends and bring fresh ideas into our design culture. 2+ years of proven experience in UI/UX design (bonus if in EdTech or product startups). A strong portfolio showcasing wireframes, prototypes, and polished UI work. Proficiency in Figma, Adobe XD, Sketch, InVision or similar design tools. Hands-on experience with user research, usability testing, and user-centered design principles. Solid understanding of responsive design and accessibility standards (WCAG). A collaborative problem-solver with great attention to detail. Knowledge of HTML/CSS/JS is a plus (not mandatory). GOOD TO HAVE: Bachelor’s degree in Design, Human-Computer Interaction (HCI), Computer Science, or a related field. Experience working in Agile development environments.
