Project Planner — Small-Scale Solar Projects (Remote) Company: Solutions for Energy (S4E) Industry: Solar / Renewable Energy — EPC of renewable energy projects Role: Individual Contributor reporting to GM/DGM Operations About the role: We're hiring a dedicated Project Planner to take ownership of planning for small-scale solar projects (up to 200 kW), both rooftop and ground-mounted. You'll work remotely with our engineering team and own work plans for ongoing tenders and projects. The role exists because demand for well-planned, efficiently designed small-scale solar projects is growing and we need a self-driven planner who can run this remotely. Responsibilities: - Own project planning for rooftop and ground-mounted solar systems up to 200 kW - Build and maintain detailed Gantt charts and work plans using Primavera - Coordinate daily with engineering managers; evaluate planning-to-execution gaps - Prepare and update work plans for ongoing tenders on a bi-weekly cadence - Monitor daily project progress and flag deviations from the workplan - Review weekly site reporting; provide technical inputs to procurement and estimation - Set up a remote planning SOP for future small-scale projects Required skills and experience: - B.E. in Electrical Engineering or Energy Engineering - 5–7 years of hands-on solar project planning experience - Primavera project scheduling - Solar PV system design (rooftop + ground-mount) - Solar project work sequencing - International logistics and procurement follow-up - Project execution: 50+ small-scale rooftop/ground-mount solar plants - Planning and monitoring of large-scale solar projects - Remote work or distributed team experience Soft skills: - Self-driven, comfortable working remotely with minimal supervision - Strong written and verbal communication - Analytical thinking and attention to detail - Discipline, ownership, problem-solving Industry background: Solar EPC firms, rooftop solar contractors, or independent solar consultants. African project experience is a plus. Location: Remote (preference for candidates with African project exposure) Employment type: Permanent Experience level: 5–7 years
